Chemistry and Math tutor with more than 5 years tutoring experience and 2 plus years teaching experience.
Methodology
I believe that students learn by doing. I make sure that students are actively writing and practicing problems in order to gain a true understanding of the material.
Background
I graduated from Texas Woman's University (TWU), in December 2013 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with an American Chemical Society Certification. August of 2015, I received my Master of Science degree in Chemistry also from Texas Woman's University. For my undergrad degree, I graduated with a 3.76 GPA in all of my Chemistry and Math courses, a 3.46 overall and graduated with a 3.9 for my Master degree.
While I completed my Bachelors degree, I worked as a tutor on campus in the Science Learning Resource Center and have gained valuable experience that will aid in the tutoring of students. Tutoring is a passion of mine; I enjoy helping students grab onto a better understanding of the needed math and chemistry skills as it relates to their course work. I moved to Hong Kong following my husband's allocation in late 2018.
Not all students learn in the same way, and that is why I make sure that I am able to adapt to the student's learning needs. After all, I am a visual learner and auditory learner as well as a hands on learner.
